The Mirage Beach Club required a commercial masterplan that differed from the local precedent. Green, shaded space, natural materials and a relaxed, spacious layout were all required to integrate successfully within an efficient and purpose built commercial development.

The masterplan allocates three individual beach clubs connected via the beachfront. Each club comprises of a number of lightweight structures situated around a series of linear pools positioned perpendicular to the beach. Each structure provides shaded space on their lower levels and outdoor dining areas on their rooftops.

A pedestrian promenade running parallel with the coast line provides access between the various beach clubs and creates a visual separation between the commercial areas and the beach clubs. Meandering pathways guide pedestrians through densely vegetated spaces towards the ‘spine’ of the masterplan; a commercial subdivided streetscape, shaded under a single vast pitched timber roof.
