It’s great to see our latest scheme for London Square in the press! Plans to transform Wimbledon Bridge House into an attractive mixed-use development have been submitted to Merton Council.
The “retention first” principal scheme proposes to extend, reclad and reconfigure the existing building into a vibrant mixed-use scheme, delivering 123 new homes, commercial space, and activation at street level.
Serena Croxson, Director of Fourfoursixsix Architects, says: “Wimbledon Bridge House presents an exciting opportunity to reconnect a longstanding, underutilised site back into the heart of Wimbledon. Through the retention of the existing frame and the integration of a considered material palette, London Square’s scheme places sustainability and contextual integration at its core to deliver lasting value to the town centre and local area.”

A run of mews houses provide human scale to the street along Bury Road where the site meets the Noel Park Conservation Area, while apartment buildings sit centrally within the site around a communal courtyard. The language and materiality connect with the adjacent Victorian shopping parades and the conservation area, stitching the scheme in to its surrounding context.

Throwback to our Soi 12 Hotel scheme in Bangkok, Thailand.
Fourfoursixsix were engaged as design architect and interior designer for the renovation of two separate nine storey apartment buildings into a unified, 198 Key hotel development. The existing structure required a lightweight exterior cladding solution and an interior design response that boldly highlighted the nature of the refurbishment.
It has been fantastic to work with Cedarstone Capital Partners and the wider project team on the planning submission for this important site in Tower Hamlets, unlocking a previous residential-led planning consent from 2018 which was no longer viable.
Located between Millharbour and the Millwall Inner Dock, this new scheme will deliver 918 student beds and 62 much needed socially rented apartments (an increase of 32% affordable housing by habitable room from the previous consent), alongside significant public realm improvements and new public playgrounds.

Fourfoursixsix were appointed to deliver this mixed-use development in the London Borough of Wandsworth. The project had previously been granted planning permission but required full internal and external reconfiguration, construction detailing, and interior design throughout.

Located on a prominent corner site opposite Brompton Cemetery, 294 Old Brompton Road is a mixed-use scheme with a large retail unit at Ground Floor and 11 spacious residential units above, achieving Code for Sustainable Homes Level 4 and all Lifetime Homes Design Criteria.
Working within a tightly enclosed site and strict planning parameters, we were pleased to deliver this attractive new development that complements the nearby regeneration taking place nearby at Earl’s Court.

We’re delighted to share that our team – Thomas Gray, Tim Ridd and Euan Fleming – took part in this year’s JLL Property Triathlon at Dorney Lake in Windsor.
While we didn’t quite make it into the top 10, we’re incredibly proud of their collective effort of 1 hour 16 minutes and finishing 53rd out of 446 teams in the Relay Triathlon!
The JLL Property Triathlon is a fantastic event that unites the property sector for a day of sport and fundraising, with all proceeds going to Age UK.
A huge well done to the team – here’s to a great year of training ahead! 💪
Ransome’s Wharf - our latest mixed-use scheme on the Battersea riverside, developed in collaboration with London Square Developments.
Located between Albert Bridge and Battersea Bridge, the project will deliver 118 new homes alongside over 18,000 sqft of commercial space, activating the ground floor and contributing to the wider regeneration of this part of Wandsworth.
Fourfoursixsix were engaged by developer @banda.property to create a benchmark luxury residential development in Battersea.
The project involved the redevelopment of the Ground Floor of a Victorian bakery resulting in two prime units with unrivalled ceiling heights.
Combining high-tech home automation with the detailed craftsmanship of specially curated natural materials, the brief was to create a space as much for entertaining as for living.

Fourfoursixsix worked alongside Banda Property to create an elegant, luxury residential development in London’s W2.
13-19 Leinster Square comprises five maisonette units, eight expansive lateral apartments, and two stunning penthouses, complete with sunken roof terraces.
The stucco fronted Grade II listed properties have tall south-facing arched windows, and overlook one of London’s premier garden squares.
The design reinstates the original heritage features but sensitively interweaves these with 21st Century comforts, high quality materials and exquisite craftsmanship. Versailles timber flooring, Victorian cornices and wall mouldings sit alongside crisply detailed Calacatta Oro marble, unlacquered brass ironmongery and minimalist oak joinery.

Images of our completed commercial scheme. The proposal for 70–72 Gloucester Street was designed to suit not only its current stand-alone setting, but also to relate with its surrounding context in the long-term, forming a key part of the area’s developing urban programme.
Working around the latest building and structural codes, the design sets a precedent for clean and pragmatic architectural design, which can successfully achieve a clear sense of identity, pride and individuality.

Some of our team attended a CPD with A.Proctor Group Ltd. yesterday, focusing on refurbishment and the benefits of a retrofitting approach to design. The presentation and discussions were insightful and relevant - focusing on the impact this approach can have on the existing building stock and the implications that emerging assessment procedures will have on the construction industry, particularly with the prioritisation of the industry-wide climate targets.
The importance of staying current with emerging regulations and assessment criteria is integral to our development as a practice. It ensures that we maintain and deliver to the highest standards, striving to re-use existing fabric as much as possible, with a continued conscientious design approach.

The development is a 26-storey mixed-use residential-led project, distinguished by a brick tower element and a low-level pavilion, offering shared amenity and retail units.
Having taken the scheme back through planning to integrate a second stair, we then prepared tender and construction drawings for the project to start on site next month.
Some of our team recently attended a CPD from @CHPK. The presentation, and following discussion, were both insightful and relevant, focusing on the Building Safety Act 2022 and the implications the changing legislation will have on the construction industry, particularly with the emerging Gateways.
As designers and architects, we recognise the utmost importance of staying current with emerging regulations and fire escape requirements, especially in the context of high-rise buildings. This ensures we maintain and deliver to, the highest standards, keeping safety and well-being at the forefront of our design approach.
It is an honour to have been featured on the front cover of this month's issue of The Structural Engineer magazine. The publication includes in-depth analysis of our project in Nine Elms, London.
Achieving the sustainability goals for the project was a collaborative process, and it was a pleasure to work alongside @walsh_engineers to achieve significant carbon reductions on the scheme.

A new-build residential scheme in the Colehill Gardens Conservation Area. The Site includes the gardens themselves, as well as a scrappy area of enclosed private open space set behind them. The Edwardian mansion blocks that surround the gardens were originally intended to continue across the private open space.
Our proposed scheme looks to rennovate the gardens and provide public access, whilst completing the massing of the Edwardian mansion blocks around the gardens, with a detailed, modern design that forms a positive backdrop to the conservation area.
