Fourfoursixsix were appointed to reinstate a commercial Grade II listed Queen Anne style townhouse back to a private residence. The site is within the Westminster Central Activities Zone and the Mayfair Conservation area.

The building comprises of five storeys with basement and attic levels, a grand staircase, and a small back garden. The change of use involved creating a large extension at lower ground floor to provide a modern and airy living space, amending the layouts at each level to suit modern family living, relocating the internal lift, and incorporating a roof terrace to provide additional high quality outdoor amenity space.

Great consideration was taken to retain the balance of restoring the historical assets of the building, improving the environmental performance of the historic fabric, and reconfiguring the spaces to suit modern requirements. The building organisation reflects the spirit of the historic stacking that would have been apparent in the original plans as a family home.
